About Bone Broth: How To Guide

You’ve purchased grass-fed, organic beef bones, and you’re ready to make bone broth. Here’s our step-by-step guide for anyone who’s cooking beef bones into broth for the first time.

Blanch the bones

  1. Cover the bones with cold water.
  2. Bring the water to a boil
  3. Cook the bones for 20 minutes at a simmer.
  4. Drain
Roast the bones
  1. Preheat the oven to 450
  2. Roast the bones until they’re well don

Boil the bones

  1. Add bones to your stockpot
  2. Add onions, garlic, black pepper (to taste)
  3. Add enough cold water to cover
  4. Bring to boil over medium heat
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer, skim fat and foam from the surface
  6. Cook for about 3 hours
  7. Strain stock through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl and discard solids

Your grass-fed, organic broth is ready - enjoy!
