2 lbs. organic, 100% grass fed ground beef
1 yellow onion (sliced)
1 Tbsp. olive oil
Big Green Egg Steakhouse seasoning
4 slices Swiss cheese
8 oz. mushrooms (sliced)
4 hamburger buns
Form the ground beef into 4 1/2 lbs. patties and set aside.
Add the olive oil to the griddle and sauté the onions and mushrooms for ~2 minutes.
Season the burger patties with the steakhouse seasoning and place on the preheated griddle.
Cook for about 2 minutes on one side and then flip.
Cook until internal temperature reaches at least 155° (usually about 2-3 minutes) and then place some of the mushrooms and onions on top of the patties and then add a slice of cheese on top of each one.
Cook until internal temperature reaches 160° (usually about 1 more minute) and then remove from the grill.
While the burgers are resting, toast the hamburger buns on the heated, seasoned griddle.
Put the burgers on the buns and serve with your favorite condiments!
