Combine America's favorite flavor with a healthy broth & you get bone broth BBQ sauce. Use Greensbury's organic, grass-fed beef bones to create your own broth.

Ingredients
1 slice bacon (optional substitute: 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil)
1/2 onion, grated
1 cup Greensbury Bone Broth
1/4 cup tomato paste
2 tbsp spicy brown mustard
3 tbsp maple syrup
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp smoked paprika
Sea salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp garlic powder (optional)
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Directions
Saute bacon in a saucepan over medium-high until crisp. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
In the same pan you used to cook the bacon, add onion and saute on medium heat for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Stir in tomato paste, mustard, maple syrup, garlic powder, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, salt and pepper, and cayenne. Blend. Pour in bone broth and whisk.
Chop up the bacon and stir it into the sauce. Bring the sauce to a boil and then lower the heat. Simmer for 30-40 minutes until sauce becomes slightly thickened, reduced to 3/4 cup. Let cool and serve on your favorite Greensbury products!
