We love the idea of using a Himalayan salt block for grilling or baking. Food52 featured salt blocks in a recipe for scallops yesterday noting, “the benefit of cooking on a salt block is that flavors evolve while it cooks on the block and the savory saltiness is really cooked into the food.”
This inspired us to give it a try with our Fresh Atlantic Salmon, and it’s easy.

Ingredients
Directions
Preheat the salt block in a 350-degree oven.
Prepare the salmon- we love a fresh squeeze of lemon, a drizzle of EVOO, and some pepper.
Place the fresh salmon directly on the salt block and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Flip the salmon and move it to another location on the block. Bake for an additional 4-5 minutes, depending on thickness.
