A simple balsamic glaze is incredibly easy to make and something worth keeping in the refrigerator for those times when you need to elevate whatever you're cooking. A light drizzle can transform poultry, seafood, salads, vegetables, and even fruit!

Directions
Mix balsamic vinegar and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar has dissolved.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer until glaze is reduced by half, about 20 minutes. Glaze should coat the back of a spoon.
Let cool and pour into a jar with a lid; store in refrigerator.
Recipe Note
Don't be afraid to use other flavored balsamic vinegars to create a glaze to your individual tastes. Also, you can swap out the brown sugar, for molasses, honey, maple syrup or agave nectar. Not only can you use it as a glaze for Caprese grilled chicken, it works great on other proteins like pork or salmon and as a salad dressing. Just remember, a little goes a long way!
