When considering protein-rich snacks, beef jerky is the perfect protein-packed snack that will keep you going. You can snag a bag of pre-made jerky at your local grocery store, but the varieties available may be packed with sodium, preservatives, and other ingredients that you likely don’t want to have in your body.

Ingredients
-
2lb. Greensbury Market Organic Grass-Fed Chuck Roast, fat trimmed
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp unseasoned meat tenderizer
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp minced garlic
Directions
Preheat oven to 175°F.
Slice the meat 1/4 inch thick with the grain.
In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, meat tenderizer, black pepper, onion powder, and minced garlic.
Combine the meat and the marinade in a storage bag and store in the refrigerator for a minimum of 6 hours.
Line 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil and place a wire rack over each sheet.
Arrange the meat on the wire racks in a single layer with no overlapping. Bake for 3-4 hours or until meat is dry. **While meat is cooking, rotate to ensure even cooking.
Once cooled, enjoy!
Recipe Note
Jerky can be stored in airtight container for one week.
