Our Farms

Our Farms

We value farmers who let their animals roam free on their grassy pastures, the farmers who refuse to let any hormones or antibiotics near their animals or toxic chemicals into their soil and the farmers who only feed their livestock with the healthiest organic food and grass around.

So you'll know each time you receive a Greensbury Market box on your doorstep, it's filled with the healthiest, freshest and highest quality meat and seafood.

Greensbury’s cattle are harvested at USDA locations close to where they were raised.

After being harvested, the organic primals are brought to our partner’s USDA organic certified, SQF-Level 3 processing facility. They then hand trim, portion and seal the product in vacuum-sealed packages to protect freshness and quality.

"It is exciting and fulfilling to give the best poultry protein to those who love to eat chicken. And to be able to prove a more profitable opportunity to my fellow farmers with our new dynamic Organic supply model is a true blessing."
—Corwin Heatwole, Founder

Their chickens are never debeaked after birth. Their beaks stay firmly on their faces at all times.

Corwin created a healthy, low-stress environment for his chickens to live in with constant access to shelter, food and water.

"In short, we sell chickens the way they're supposed be... Chicken and nothing else!"

Turkeys

Where they are from

Koch's Turkey Farm

Koch's Turkey Farm is a true family farm that values the traditional standards of their Pennsylvania Dutch Heritage.

Their high standards and humane practices result in a stress free life for their turkeys which is why they are so juicy and tender.

What they eat

Koch Farm turkeys taste better than their turkey cousins because they're happy. They're happy because they're given a lot of space on the farm to run around, they're fed an all-vegetarian diet of 100% organic feed and forage containing corn, soy, vitamins and minerals and they're never fed any synthetic herbicides, pesticides, GMO's, gluten or animal by-products. Roscoe and Emma Koch first started raising turkeys on the family farm in 1939. The Koch's Turkey Farm was founded by their son Lowell and his wife Elizabeth in 1953. Their original farm boasted two small open houses and sixty acres of open space.

Since then, they have gradually evolved into a fully integrated farm with forty five turkey houses, a hatchery and an all natural feed mill.

Today the farm is carefully managed by the third generation of the Koch's family.

  • Koch Farm Turkeys are antibiotic free and have free range access to outdoor areas that provide natural sunlight and fresh air.

  • Koch Farm Turkeys meet the very strict Certified Human guidelines and Farm Animal Welfare Standards for Turkeys.

  • Koch Farm Turkeys are grown according to federal guidelines. The USDA certified organic regulations require that their turkeys are raised in living conditions accommodating their natural behaviours, like the ability to graze on pasture, fed 100% organic feed and forage and not administered antibiotics or hormones.

  • Koch Farm Turkeys are verified by the NON GMO Project.
